“Hi, I'm Dalila (they/them), founder of Skate Alchemy. As a professional roller skater, certified instructor, and mental health advocate, I created Skate Alchemy to offer a space where people can heal, express themselves, and connect. Whether you're a beginner or advanced skater, my classes are designed to help you embrace the rhythm of your body and enhance your well-being.”

At the moment, we don't offer skate rentals, but we're actively working on securing funding to make skate rentals available, particularly for our upcoming Learn to Skate Program for new skaters. For now, please bring your own skates to class. Stay tuned for updates on our rental availability.

We teach only on quad skates. If you're new to skating, we recommend starting with quad skates, as they tend to be easier to balance in. Be sure your skates are in good condition and fit comfortably.

We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing and protective gear, including knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards. For our roller dance classes, jam plugs and indoor wheels are highly recommended for a smoother and safer experience.

We do not sell skate equipment directly. However, we can provide recommendations on where to purchase quality skates and accessories that suit your needs.

We recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes early to check in, get your skates, and warm up before class begins.

Yes, registration is required before attending any class. Be sure to register through our Register for Classes page to secure your spot.

Yes, a waiver form must be signed before your first class. You will be asked to complete this form during the registration process.

We believe in making skating accessible to everyone. We offer payment plans for those who need flexibility.

Yes! We do accept donations via PayPal and Venmo: @skatealchemy to help fund our sliding scale lessons and skate rental program. Additionally, we welcome sponsorship opportunities to help make skating more accessible for everyone.
